For a while now, I’ve been looking forward to launching a new interview series on DIYHA, where I talk with leading experts, inventors, startup founders, scientists and more about their work and share the raw interviews with you, my audience.
I wasn’t sure how best to launch the series, though. That’s until I was offered an interview with Dr. Harvey Karp, author of the mega-bestseller Happiest Baby on the Block and creator of the SNOO Bassinet. Happiest Baby sent me a SNOO to review, and I got to speak with Dr. Karp about it at length—and also about how sleep can be a life or death matter for babies and parents alike.
Scoring an interview with Dr. Karp was a major coup (if you’re over 50, think of him as the Dr. Spock of my generation), and it felt like to perfect time to launch the DIY Interview, a new series where I’ll be chatting with experts about all aspects of tech, home automation, products, NFTs, and much more.
You can check out my full interview with Dr. Karp here. I’ve also included an (unedited) transcript, if you prefer to skim interviews instead of watching the whole video.
Prefer audio? You can hear the DIY Interview on my podcast Tom Talks Tech. Subscribe on Apple Music or Spotify and give it a 5 star review while you’re at it!
I’ve already done the second interview in the series, too! Check out my talk with Eric Wengrowski of Steg.ai here. The two interviews couldn’t be more different, and that’s the point. With the DIY Interview, I’m hoping to capture the stories of tech people from all industries and all walks of life.
Stay tuned for more interviews, and feel free to suggest a guest by replying to this email.
